Prepare traditional bajra rotis or bhakris and serve them with dal, vegetable curries, homemade pickles and cooling yoghurt. The flour is also suitable for nutritious porridge, savoury pancakes and traditional Indian flatbreads. Its naturally nutty flavour complements hearty vegetable preparations, making it a versatile addition to everyday meals.
For bajra roti, combine approximately 100g of flour with a pinch of salt and gradually add warm water to form a soft, smooth dough. Divide into small portions and gently flatten each into a round roti using your palms or a rolling pin between sheets of parchment paper. Heat a flat pan over medium heat and cook each roti for approximately 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently until cooked through. Serve warm with your favourite curry, dal or vegetable dish. Allow approximately 20–25 minutes for preparation and cooking.
